MEET OUR TEACHERS!

For the last 17 years, Sharon Emmett has lived in East Hampton with her husband Michael and daughters, Caitlin and Michelle, both of whom attended the East Hampton Nursery School.  She felt so strongly in the belief that “EHNS…is the start of something good”, that she remained involved in the school for the last 13 years.   Ten of those years, she has had the pleasure of being Head Teacher of the Three Year Old Program.  Beginning with the 2011-2012 school year she will be Head Teacher of the Four Year Old Program, as well.  She brings exciting, age and developmentally appropriate activities to the programs perceptively.   When she is not at the school, she enjoys traveling, going to the beach, watching her girls dance, playing soccer and reading!  Mrs. Emmett holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Hartford and an Associates of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Becker Jr. College.  She also is Head Teacher, CPR, First Aid and Administration of Medication certified, as well as, EPI- PEN trained.  She can be reached at mrsemmett@comcast.net.

Heather D’Antonio has enjoyed working with the children and families of East Hampton Nursery School as our Assistant Teacher since 2005.  Heather grew up in East Hampton and currently resides here in town, happily raising her two children with her husband, Jay.  Before working at EHNS, she volunteered a great deal of time working in the classroom when her  children attended the school.  When not at work or watching her children in their various extra-curricular activities, Mrs. D'Antonio likes to read, listen to music, go to the beach and spend time with her family.  Mrs. D'Antonio is certified in CPR, First Aid, and Administration of Medication.  She is also Epi-pen trained.
